Playground gravel is nice and soft
Our daycare in Westwego needed something softer than the old crushed stone under the swing set, so we switched to three tons of natural pea gravel with edging around the whole play area. Rolls Underfoot on the Slope
Four tons of pea gravel went under the deck and along the drainage strip out back in Bunkie. It fills in nice and stays put on the level ground, but where the strip slopes down toward the ditch the rounded stone kept rolling underfoot until I raked out a flat landing at the bottom.
