Open the calculatorLouisiana Rock Supply brings gravel and aggregate delivery in Schriever, LA to pads and driveways across Terrebonne Parish. On the deltaic plain the ground is soft clay and organic muck, so the base course has to carry the load.
That is where 610 limestone earns its place.
Stone dust up to about two inches binds the fines together and the layer hardens as it is rolled. Order by the ton and the truck tips it on your site.
Water is the driver here. It sits at or near the surface, moves by canal and bayou, and pushes against every bank and swale edge on your property.
Coarse stone is what holds those edges.
RipRap is the heavy answer. The angular stone interlocks, so it armours a canal edge, a bayou bank or a slope without sliding away.
Railroad Ballast is the coarse angular option for track beds, equipment pads and very wet ground that needs a large open stone. #4 Crushed Stone at roughly 1 1/2 inch handles heavy drainage, erosion work and stabilizing wet ground.
As the sizes come down, the jobs get finer. #57 Limestone is the clean open graded stone at about 3/4 inch with no fines, and it drains.
#67 Stone is slightly finer for drainage trenches, pipe bedding and concrete. Drain Rock is washed clean for French drains, downspout runs and foundation perimeter drains, which is the layer that has to work when the water table sits this close in.
Rounded stone behaves differently. Large River Rock builds a dry creek bed or a decorative edge, but rounded cobble does not lock together, so it is not bank armour.
Use riprap where the water pushes.
Two base and fill choices round out a pad. 610 Limestone is the compacted layer under flatwork and driveways.
Select Fill raises low ground and builds a pad up out of the water, since it compacts rather than settling.
You order online and choose a quantity by the ton or by the yard. Each product page carries a calculator if you want to size the load before you check out.
Pick your delivery date at checkout and a dump truck brings the material to your site in Schriever, where it tips the load in one pile. Have the spot clear before the truck arrives.
Delivery covers Schriever and the rest of Terrebonne Parish, including Houma, Gray, Chauvin, Bourg and Montegut. Bulk loads go to driveways, pads, banks and building sites across the parish.
Work here runs year round and gets interrupted by rain and high water rather than by cold. The water table is at or near the surface, and the ground is already saturated.
Nothing drains downward. Water leaves by pump, canal or not at all, so a pad built on muck settles under its own weight before anything is parked on it.
That changes the order of work. Select Fill goes in first to raise the grade out of the water and compact into something firm.
The base course goes on top of that, not on the natural ground.
Drainage is the other half. Clean stone and washed drain rock move water sideways to a swale or a canal, because it will not go down.
On the marsh side of the parish, where the only firm ground is a natural levee ridge or an old channel, that pattern decides where a pad can sit at all.
Timing matters as much as material. A wet spell can leave a site too soft for a truck, so watch the water before you set a delivery date.

What buyers ask us before they order.
For a French drain, drywell or downspout run, Drain Rock is washed clean so water passes through it. For a drainage trench or pipe bedding, #67 Stone works well. Where the ground is very wet or you are protecting a bank, #4 Crushed Stone or Railroad Ballast gives you a larger open stone that still lets water move.
A clear, level spot where the load can be tipped in one pile, with room for the truck to reach it and turn around. Keep the area free of vehicles, low wires and soft ground. If the material is going on a pad or behind a gate, make sure the route in is firm enough to take the weight.
Place the order with the date you want and we confirm the delivery window back to you. Give us as much notice as you can for Schriever so you get the slot you want rather than the one that is left, and tell us up front if the site is only reachable at certain times.
